Amazing Waterfalls in USA

Burney Falls

Burney Falls- Eighth Wonder of the World-USA

Burney Falls is a waterfall on Burney Creek, in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, Shasta County, California. The water comes from underground springs above and at the falls, which are 129 feet high, and provides an almost constant flow rate of 379 million litres per day, even during the dry summer months. The falls are an example of river drainage regulated by stratigraphically-controlled springs, and also of a waterfall formed by undercutting of horizontal strata. The falls were called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by President Theodore Roosevelt, and were declared a National Natural Landmark in December 1984.

Elowah Waterfall- Hidden Gem in Columbia River- USA

Elowah Falls is one of the hidden gems in the Columbia River Gorge. The falls flow year round, but are best in the late winter and spring, like many others in the area. The cliffs on either side of the falls are flanked with the colorful yellow-green lichen found throughout the Columbia Gorge, adding a lot to the aesthetics of the scene. The falls are usually said to stand 289 feet tall.

                  Grogan Creek Waterfalls-North Carolina- USA

This trailside falls is small but pretty. The water flows down a steepening mossy slide in characteristic straight vertical streams, before spilling over some knee-high (but photogenic) ledges in free-falls at the very bottom.
